ABOUT US
The Ngithume Nkosi Project (“Lord send me” in Zulu) aims to encourage individuals and churches to be interested in and involved in missions, with a particular emphasis on people working in medical and compassionate ministries.
It does so by advocating for medical missions with churches, Bible schools, hospitals, medical school Christian meetings, pastors’ gatherings, WhatsApp groups and conferences held by Christian Medical Fellowship (CMF) and Hospital Christian Fellowship (HCF). The project is a partnership of SIM South Africa, SIM International health ministries, CMF, HCF, churches, Africa Evangelical Church, and The Evangelical Church of South Africa.
It was founded in 2020 by long-time SIM workers Victor and Rachel Fredlund as they prepared to leave Mseleni Hospital, where they had served for decades. In addition to general advocacy for medical missions, they project aims to match medical personnel with short- and long-term ministry opportunities in South Africa, surrounding countries, and around the world. The project’s reach so far has included South Africa, Malawi, Eswatini, Botswana, Mauritius, Madagascar, Rwanda, among other places.

Volunteer short term relief: 3- 6 months
Some mission hospitals need medical staff to cover leave of long-term personnel, gaps between recruits? We are looking at ways to raise travel funds and accommodation to provide whilst you cannot earn a salary.
