Handeni - Tanga

Gospel outreach prepared by the medical students and alumni from KCMC – Moshi Tanzania where a group of more than 80 people will be going to Handeni – Tanga to preach the gospel as well as offer Medical Services & Counselling.

People attending the outreach will have free transport and accomodation for the duration of the outreach based on budget from the ongoing fundraising process.

Adelaide Ngina Masu (Paediatrician ) and Sunette Wessels ( Occupational Therapist) are planning a trip to Karanda Mission Hospital this October!

Lira (Northern Uganda) Outreach/Mission

Critical needs identified by local team to mobilise a team consisting of:

1 Anaesthetist
2 Gynaecologists
2 General Surgeons
1 Paediatric Surgeon
1 ENT Specialist
1 Sonographer/Radiologist
1 Physician

With regard to the tentative programme, my current proposal:

20–21 November:

International travel and arrival of team members in Uganda.

22 November (Sunday):

Travel to Lira and team orientation.
Briefing with CCMC leadership and local stakeholders.
Preparation of clinical and surgical areas.

23 November – 3 December:

Medical and surgical outreach activities.
Daily outpatient consultations, surgical procedures, ward rounds, and follow-up care.
Dedicated training sessions for local healthcare workers integrated into the programme.
Community outreach activities, including support to selected rural locations in Kwania District where feasible.

4 December:

Completion of medical activities.
Departure for a leisure and cultural visit.

4 December (Afternoon):

Arrival at Murchison Falls National Park.
Evening sunset game drive/safari.

5 December:

Early morning safari and sightseeing activities.
Team fellowship and debriefing.

6 December (Sunday):

Transfer to Entebbe/Kampala and departure flights for international team members.
